| CIGB and Cuba in general, have a great potential to be fully expressed in research, development, and production areas of Biopharmaceutical and Agricultural Biosciences.
The last two decades have been very fruitful for the Cuban biotechnology. After a 20-year period (in the sixties and seventies) of broad preparation and training of scientific researchers and engineers, a government sponsored investment process took place in the eighties, which set up more than 30 scientific institutions, currently known as the "WESTERN HAVANA BIO-CLUSTER". |
